A quick how to allow opening macOS Apps despite Gatekeeper’s warning message:

«Apple could not verify that its free of malware
that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy»

Manually «Allow anyway» in «Privacy & Security»-Settings

  1. Try launching the App, so the macOS Gatekepper warning appears (again)

  2. Close the dialogue by choosing to «Done» (aka “keep the App”)

  3. Open «System Settings» & select «Privacy & Security»

  4. Scroll down to the «Security» section

  5. The blocked App should be listed: click on «Allow anyway» next to the App

  6. Re-open the affected App directly & now confirm to open it.

Seeing instead Error «App is Damaged and can’t be Opened»?
