A wile back I posted a workaround how to type the missing “not equals” ≠ sign in iOS on an iPhone or iPad. This workaround is not longer needed.
Since iOS 13 additional equals signs are on the iOS default keyboard!
Apple added some missing character to the default iOS keyboard with the release of iOS 13 – the not equals sign ≠
and approximately equal sign ≈
can now be found where they should be:
- right under the equals sign
=
character key
Missing other characters on the iOS keyboard?
Use the text replacement setting to configure yourself a quick access to any characters:
- Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement
Of course these added characters are also part of the successive published software releases for iPhone and iPad, like the recent iOS 14 & iPadOS 14.
