Safari 15 tab bar challenge: quick close a tab on hover

I’m not so fond (yet) of the reworked tab bar in the new Safari 15 introduced with macOS 12 Monterey. One thing I use a lot – especially when having also a lot of tabs – is the quick close on hover.

Here’s the trick to get the little X-icon showing up in the new tab bar of Safari 15

Hold the ⌘ Command-key while mouse hovering a tab
